Introducing Folders for Uploads to Help Organize Your Work

If you’ve been using Crello for a while, you might find yourself a little lost in all the images you’ve uploaded to add to templates and now have all unsorted and disorganized in your Uploads folder. Well, Christmas came early this year because Crello developer team is introducing folders for uploads!

That’s right, now you can add folders and file your uploaded files just like you do with your designs. Let’s try creating some folders:

To place your uploads in the desired folder, simply drag the image in place:

To manage your folder, click the cog icon next to the name of your folder and select one of the options: Manage folder, Rename folder, Delete folder. Keep in mind that when you are deleting a folder, you are also removing all the files inside.

Let’s see what our folders look like on the inside. We get a floating window with a file counter next to the name of our folder in the top menu, options to upload images directly to our folder using Upload image button, and a sort by button Newest/Oldest first.

Conveniently, you can also mass-select images and move them to folders or delete in bulk:

Organization tips

Managing your files effectively can save you a lot of time and effort when creating content for social media, your blogs and websites, as well as advertisements. Look through our tips to make the process even more streamlined:

  • Create folders to help you categorize your files by any criteria – date of upload, name of the project (or brand), topic of the images, and even colors,
  • Designate a miscellaneous or discarded files folder so that you don’t have to upload images or logos twice just because you’ve deleted them thinking you won’t be using them anymore,
  • Rename folders and move part of the contents to a newly created folder to narrow down the focus when your folder starts to feel like it has too many files,
  • Use sort by Oldest button at the top right of your folder manager to look through the images you’ve uploaded a while ago and might have forgotten they are there;)
